Total Solar Eclipse. Wolfgang Tillmans.
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and earth, blocking the sun either partially or fully. Produced by Wolfgang Tillmans for his 1999 exhibition at Galerie Daniel Buchholz, the A4 book includes diagrams, text and photographs assembled by the artist on the phenomenon of solar eclipses. Designed to feel like a text book, the photographs are a mixture of colour and black and white, with scientific diagrams dispersed between.
